Rebecca Burrows

Australia Digital PD and Training Manager

Rebecca brings over 17 years of classroom experience and a passion for empowering educators. With a Bachelor of Education in Primary and Secondary from Monash University.  Rebecca has lived and taught in Australia, UK and Canada giving her a global perspective on education. She manages Twinkl Originals Australia, educational books for children and leads Twinkl PD Courses for Australian educators. With expertise in project management and product development she ensures high-quality courses and practical learning experiences so teachers feel confident and inspired in their professional development.

Carly Watkins

UK Digital PD and Training Manager

Carly Watkins has over twenty years of experience as a primary school teacher, including a number of years as an assistant headteacher.
With a Master’s Degree in Education Practice, Carly has been both an NQT and ECT mentor and currently facilitates the Early Career Framework for Early Career Teachers and their mentors, delivering training at conferences and via online seminars. At Twinkl PD, Carly heads up pedagogical professional development, a role which means she can support teachers and school staff, something she is passionate about, on a national scale.

International PD Development Manager

Xiomara brings over 8 years of experience in the educational publishing industry, where she worked as Phase Manager for LATAM, Spain, and the Caribbean. She has played a pivotal role in establishing, developing, and expanding the Twinkl Professional Development platform. She continually focuses on fostering a global community of innovative and skilled educators. Her work reflects a strong vision for impactful education that reaches learners in every corner of the globe.

Meet Our Team

Rebecca is Director of Education at Twinkl. She is a qualified headteacher with an MA-Ed in SEND & Digital Learning, who has worked in the education sector for over 15 years as; an English teacher, Head of Department (Careers, PSHE & Media), Whole School Literacy Lead (KS3-KS5), Assistant Headteacher (secondary) and Trust Teaching Excellence Lead (EYFS-KS4). Through her role at Twinkl, Rebecca works closely with school leaders and educators, to develop thought leadership initiatives that promote innovative, inclusive, and effective teaching and learning practices.

Matthew Roe

Digital CPD and Training Manager

Matt Roe works with The Leaders Team at Twinkl. He has over 15 years of teaching experience, including 10 years in Senior Leadership roles from Assistant Head through to Headteacher. He has worked in and around Leeds mainly in challenging city schools. He now works passionately alongside the rest of the Twinkl team, helping those who lead to cut through the complexity of school leadership, so they can focus on leading their school.

Catherine is an experienced educator with over a decade of teaching in Key Stages One and Two before moving into educational publishing. She began by creating engaging educational videos for children and adults and now leads CPD Resource and Online Learning Development at Twinkl. With expertise in project management, product development, and continuous improvement, Catherine is a data-driven decision-maker who leverages her teaching background and skills as an educational content creator to deliver high-quality resources and courses that support effective teaching and professional development.
